Can't help it

The only reason for being a professional writer is that you just can't help it.

I'm not a professional fiction writer. Yet. My writing career is a work in progress. I've made it to the stage where I write for a living, and it's better than not write at all. Then again, it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I don't want to write in a voice that isn't mine, but the brand's. I don't write about things which don't matter to me most of the time. I don't want to spend my creativity on somebody else's idea.

I want to write fiction. I just can't help it.
